Toyota Matrix Performance Parts
A compact hatchback, the Toyota Matrix first appeared at dealerships in 2002 for the 2003 model year. It was based on the Corolla platform and came in three trims: the bare-bones Standard, the mid-grade XR, and the XRS. It was powered by either a 130-hp, 1.8-L engine or a 164-hp powerplant, also 1.8 L (the latter available only in the XRS trim). From 2003 to 2006, all-wheel drive was offered in all trims. The Matrix received a minor facelift for the 2005 model year and was extensively changed two years later. The XRS trim with its gutsier engine was dropped, along with the all-wheel-drive option in late 2006. If you have a first-generation Toyota Matrix, performance parts from our online catalog can help you extend the life of your car.

The second-generation Matrix was released in model year 2009. The trims for the new Matrix were Standard, S, and XRS. Powerplants were a 1.8-L I4 paired with five-speed manual or four-speed auto for the Standard trim; a 2.4-L I4 was also available for the S and XRS. Five-speed gearboxes, manual or auto, came with the larger engine, and the S trim offered the option of AWD. We carry a full line of Toyota Matrix performance parts for second-gen models as well.
